AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) — United Family and Ms. Baird’s Bread honored three teachers as March winners of the Teachers On The Rise program.

This month’s winners are Courtney Nelson from Alice Landergin Elementary School, Katina Bailey from Sam Houston Middle School and Breanna Parker from Amarillo High School.

“We want to congratulate all of our teachers and students who have been part of this winning streak,” said Nancy Sharp, director of corporate engagement for The United Family. “There are so many teachers who deserve to be recognized in our communities. We encourage everyone to keep submitting nominations! »

“This year has been great for the Teachers On The Rise program,” said program director Shane Sumrow. “Through these nominations, we’ve heard countless testimonials of the great things teachers are doing in our classrooms. We select three winners each month, so we encourage students to re-enter their teachers if they didn’t win and try to be as detailed as possible about why teachers deserve special recognition.

The winning teachers receive a $100 United Supermarkets gift card, a $100 American Express gift card and a basket full of treats from Ms. Baird. Students who nominate a winning teacher receive a $50 American Express gift card.
