The Authentic Montessori Program at the Country Montessori School of Poway offers a holistic approach to education that has an impact on a child’s learning throughout their life. This is the result of the Montessori program, which brings together the development of each child intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

In addition to the traditional Montessori school curriculum, each student at the Country Montessori School of Poway experiences enrichment classes and after-school programs to broaden their learning experience and foster lifelong learning.

Our enrichment programs for early childhood students include Spanish, Music, and Physical Education. At the elementary level, these courses are continued and art and computer courses are also added. All students are challenged and enriched with engineering and technology which are incorporated into the Montessori curriculum and developed in the elementary levels.

The before and after school care program for our students provides our families with opportunities outside of regular school hours for learning, socialization and child care. Students can experience a variety of extracurricular classes such as art, yoga, lifeguards (learning about animals in need), composting, and science.

Country Montessori School of Poway offers Early Years (ages 2.5-6) programs to Lower Elementary (6-9), Upper Elementary (9-12) for the San region. Diego and beyond.

Our head teachers are Montessori accredited for the programs they teach. Some of our teaching assistants are in training and are completing their internship under the supervision of an experienced teacher. All primary elementary teachers must have a minimum college education of a bachelor’s degree.

Safety in the foreground

Country Montessori School adheres to strict policies to reduce the spread of disease, especially the Covid-19 virus. Students at all grade levels are required to wear face coverings at all times while they are in school. Face covers are only removed for meals, snacks, naps, or when they need to be replaced. Teachers and staff also wear face masks during the day.

Other protocols include reminding students and staff not to touch their face and face coverings and to wash their hands frequently. Families and school staff are required to complete a daily self-declaration before entering campus.
