Elkins Middle’s Stell is finalist for W.Va. Teacher of the Year | News, Sports, Jobs
ELKINS – A teacher at Elkins Middle School is one of 10 finalists for the 2022 teacher of the year award in West Virginia, officials said on Friday.
Lindsey Stell and the other nine finalists were selected from each school district’s Teacher of the Year. This year’s finalists represent elementary, middle and high school educators from all parts of the state.
“These 10 educators are passionate about teaching the next generation of leaders, even under extreme circumstances, and have demonstrated incredible determination, resourcefulness and heart.” said West Virginia Schools Superintendent W. Clayton Burch. “I am so proud of each of them, and we are honored to have them serving our students in West Virginia.”
Stell serves students in grades six to eight in the Gifted Students Education Program at Elkins Middle School. She holds a BA in Secondary Education and an MA in Digital Media Education, New Literacy and Learning from Fairmont State University.
