Kalamazoo County Students Invited To Join The College’s Academic Success Team
KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI – Students looking for extra support preparing for life after high school are invited to join the College’s Academic Success Team in Kalamazoo County.
CAST, a program run by the Synergy Health Center in Kalamazoo, provides academic support in the form of lectures, videos, group work and field trips to students at Synergy’s UrbanZone, a youth-focused center that empowers students. youth of North and East Kalamazoo in education, health and wellness, the arts and entrepreneurial opportunities.
Students meet weekly for interactive in-class sessions from January through June, according to a press release from the program.
The program is free to high school students in Kalamazoo County, the statement said. The program aims to help students complete their education, build self-confidence in and out of the classroom, prepare for the job market, college, the military, or other choices. after high school, connect with their peers and improve their academic performance, the statement said.
The program also offers financial literacy training. Students who complete the program receive $ 100 and the opportunity to attend a field trip, the release said.
