MAAC Announces All-Academic Women’s Soccer Team
EDISON, New Jersey – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference office has announced the 2021 MAAC Women’s Soccer All-Star Team.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Niagara had a total of 12 qualified student-athletes for the team. Graduate students Mackenzie mix and Alexis Horwedel, the elderly Annie ibey, Ashley Lofranco, Ida Miceli, juniors Clara Bornet, Olivia holey, Florence Vaillancourt, Grace Wirth, and second Emma Bough and Molly tobin all have achieved MAAC All-Academic recognition.
A total of 190 student-athletes make up the 2021 MAAC women’s varsity soccer team. Fairfield and Marist are tied for the conference with 23 student-athletes each.
Monmouth, Siena and Manhattan were just behind at 22, 21 and 20. Quinnipiac had 19 student-athletes, while Iona placed 17. Rider University followed with 13 student-athletes on the list.
In western New York State, Canisius College and Niagara University have each enrolled 12 student-athletes. Saint Peter’s placed eight student-athletes to complete the team.
