Sacramento County elementary teacher charged with obscene acts with students

A third-grade teacher in Sacramento County has been arrested and charged with lewd and lascivious acts with several students over a span of nearly three years, the sheriff’s office said. Enrique Rodriguez Valladares, 53, surrendered on Friday. Valladares taught at Bowling Green Chacon Language and Science Academy and also resides in Sacramento County. He faces eight counts of obscene and lascivious acts with a minor over a period of August 2017 to June 2019. KCRA 3 is reaching out to the Sacramento City Unified School District for comment. Valladares is being held in the Sacramento County Main Jail on $ 1 million bail. He is due in court on Tuesday. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office asks anyone with information to contact the Child Abuse Officer Office at 916-874-5191 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at 916-443-HELP. People can also leave tips anonymously at 916-874-TIPS.
