From what we’ve seen of Itsuka Kendo so far, it’s obvious that she is extremely cheerful and friendly. She also seems to be very considerate of others, which of course would make her appreciated in her class. She also has a strong sense of right and wrong, which will make her a great Pro Hero. Itsuka also extends his polite courtesy to people outside of Class 1-B, to the disdain of some of his classmates. In particular, Itsuka has no problem with Class 1-A, which is surprising given that most of her class hate them.
Itsuka constantly puts others before herself, such as the time during the UA Sports Festival where she lets Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu and Ibara Shiozaki participate in the event instead of her own team. Actions like this speak louder than words ever could and it earned him a great reputation among his classmates. Tetsutetsu, at the start of Episode 5, states that Itsuka is like the “big sister” of the class and is the most respected member of the class and it’s easy to see why.
In Episode 6, Itsuka uses his Quirk, Big Fist, against one of the Class 1-A groups during the Combat Training Exercise. It’s a great showcase of his hero abilities and how they combine with his caring and kind personality. The two combine to be remarkably effective against Class 1-A, especially Momo Yaoyorozu.
Momo is at class 1-A what Itsuka is at class 1-B. They are both highly respected and have some powerful quirks, to boot. Seeing them finally compete on relatively equal terms will be a sight to behold. Especially since they both interned with Uwabami together, in an environment that was well outside their two comfort zones. Itsuka will be put to the test, her whole class watching and supporting her.
There is a clear reason that Class 1-B loves their Class Rep so much. She is kind, cheerful and full of empathy. She is respected for this with her intellect and powerful altercation. My Hero Academia Spends so much time with Class 1-A, it’s easy to overlook the other great characters in the anime, like Itsuka Kendo.
